FAQ

How do I remove the face paint?
I use high quality professional face paints for ease of removal. (Mehron, Kryolan, Kryolan, Kryvaline, DiamondFx, Snazaroo, and Silly Farm) These paints should easily come off with a soft cloth and warm water. Some of the colors may require an extra wash with a gentle makeup remover. Some blues and greens have pigments that may slightly stain temporarily.

How do I remove the airbrush tattoos or glitter tattoos?

These tattoos last 3-10 days with minimal wear. Once you are ready to remove them use rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab and it will come right off.

How many faces can you paint in an hour if I book you for a party?
I can paint 10-12 full faces with glitter and embellishments per hour of booking. This doesn’t include set up and clean up time. It is also very important that while one person is getting their face painted that there are other activities for those that are waiting so the children don’t have to just stand in line and wait while missing the rest of the party. Children must be supervised at all times by responsible adults.

Can you paint within the theme of my child’s party?

Super heroes? Princesses? Absolutely! Just let me know the theme of the party at the time of  booking and I will make sure to have some faces ready for the event. Do keep in mind that more time may be needed per child depending on the complexity of the design and this may affect the booking time.

What are your rates?
Call for rates on birthday parties, corporate events, baby showers, mural consultation, or vendor events 615-556-7800.

Will I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. A $25 non-refundable deposit will be needed along with a signed booking form. This secures your day. In the event that the artist has to cancel, any deposits or payments will be refunded.

What areas do you cover?

All of Middle TN and some of Western KY, Northwest TN, and Southern IL.

Who can be painted?

Adults, kids, just about everyone. However, I do not paint anyone under the age of 3, anyone with any sores or cuts, anyone with any discharge (eyes, nose, mouth).

What if my child objects?

If a child is reluctant to have his or her face painted, I cannot comply with the wishes of the parent or carer over the desire of the child. Young children do not always understand face painting – someone they do not know is doing something to them, which they cannot see – so a small design on the hand may be more enjoyable for them. They can see what is being done, feel in control of the situation, and can look at it and enjoy it for the rest of the day.

Can you paint at Charity Events?

YES! I do! For charity events I simply charge per face on the day and provide a percentage of the day’s takings to the charity.
